Based on the best selling novel series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, A Game of Thrones: The Board Game Second Edition lets 3-6 players take control of the great houses of Westeros in an epic struggle to claim the Iron Throne.

The updated second edition brings a host of enhancements to your A Game of Thrones experience. It incorporates elements from previous expansions, including ports, garrisons, Wildling cards, and Siege engines, while introducing welcome new innovations. Convenient player screens will hide your underhanded dealings from prying eyes, while new Tides of Battle cards convey the uncertainty of war. This, along with updated graphics and a clarified ruleset, means the time has never been better to claim the Iron Throne.

Game of Thrones The Board Game has just been revised and updated with new artwork and modified ruleset designed to streamline the experience.
It does capture the feeling of the books perfectly, particularly if the people you are playing it with enter into the spirit of intrigue and backstabbing that are synonymous with the lands of Westeros.
The game is best played with 3, 5 or 6 players. Our group has struggled to get a balanced experience with 4 due to the set out geography of the game board.
I was very impressed with the artwork, utilising some of the best art of character from Westeros, and general quality of the components, however my board was a little distorted.
As ever with competitive games it is all down to group that play it and the spirit in which it is played but the game seems to yield unbiased results (except in 4 player, where optional rules are needed) But we found the game to be reasonably quick and fun.
